It’s all because of Cookie.

If Cookie had not entered our lives, we would not have owned Green Paws Pet Market & Grooming. When Cookie was a puppy, she was started off on the most popular brand of puppy kibble on the mass market. Over the next few days she began to wheeze and lost interest in mealtime. The traditional veterinary approach of “prescription” food seemed costly and had the same ingredients as the current kibble Cookie was on.

We were worried when Cookie refused to eat her meals and began researching dog food alternatives. We tried a raw food diet which seemed to do the trick at first because Cookie’s wheezing stopped. After a couple of weeks she lost interest in the raw food. We began to cook homemade, human grade food for Cookie and she was hooked. Her coat has always been superbly shiny and healthy and she has never wheezed since those first few weeks at home.

Seeing how a natural foods approach had helped Cookie, we began researching what is going into the pet foods and treats heavily marketed by the big companies and often pushed by many veterinarians. What we found was shocking!

Since taking over Green Paws Pet Market in June 2019, we were sure that we would stay true to the founding principles of carrying only high-quality healthy foods and treats and work hard to make sure every customer is happy. Everything sold in store comes mostly from USA sources and is wheat free, corn free, and soy free. Nothing edible is ever sourced from China.
